My name is Ryan Patey. I currently hail from Toronto, ON but if you ask me I call Halifax home. I spent the past five years of my life there working on a Psychology degree at Dalhousie University, and getting myself into the music scene.

While attempting to study I also managed and booked at the Ceilidh Connection Internet Café and Lounge. During my time there the Ceilidh was Halifax’s most popular all-ages venue, and it developed an excellent reputation in the community. We held shows for some of the most popular local and national bands including Wintersleep, By Divine Right, Alexisonfire and Not By Choice.

As well as managing the Ceilidh, I also began to form my own entertainment business, known as Tumbleweed Entertainment, which is recognized mainly for its free outdoor shows held in the downtown core. In fact, we are currently in the finishing stages for the first of three outdoor shows this summer on June 5th at Sackville Landing.

At the current time I do not own any pets, but am debating the purchase of a fish, which would seem more reasonable here in the Big Smoke. I have a great interest in animals and am very proud to be involved in a benefit with such a great purpose.
