I have been living in Halifax since 1989 and originally hail from Sydney, Cape Breton. I've had quite a few career changes over the years but finally found my calling 4 years ago when I opened my own business. In my old life managed a Sam the Record Man store until 1997, then worked in IT for over 5 years, and now run the ecommerce business called Hounds Around Town.

I am blessed to live in rural area just outside of Halifax where there is lots of green space for my dog to run and room for me to garden. Quality of life is everything to me which is why I choose to stay in the Maritimes.

Over the years I've owned many pets including fish, hamsters, cats, and dogs. A favorite hobby/passion of mine is agility training with Nelson at Lietash. I'm not so good at it yet, but they are great teachers and I have high hopes.

I first became involved with animal rescue in 2002, and have been hooked ever since. I'm really excited about working on this fundraising committee. We have been having a lot of fun so far and I'm certain we will achieve great things!
